Saturday June 5th

Release your Neck & Liberate your Shoulders
11:30am to 2:45 pm

The workshop will demonstrate imagery, touch and simple movement exercises to lengthen and balance shoulder and neck musculature. Experience how the shoulder developed from a four legged support structure through brachiation into free suspension. Learn how to melt away tension and associated mental anxiety.

Let your shoulders and neck become a place of ease and peace.

Learn how:

  • Your shoulders are designed to move.
  • To have suspended, free and easy shoulders.
  • To use balls and therabands to create smooth joint action.

Organ Movement for Health, Strength, and Flexibility
3-6:30 pm

The organs of our bodies are generally not considered when it comes to training the body. The connection between our organs and movement are myriad.

  • There are ligaments that connect the organs amongst each other and to the muscles and bones.
  • Compression and suction forces relate the organs to all the surrounding structures.
  • Muscle and joint pain as well as postural problems often relate to the organs.

In this workshop we will learn to access and balance the organs to improve efficient posture and movement. We will also learn the relationship between breath and the organs. The result will be a general feeling of well-being. Our tools will be imagery, gentle movement and self-touch.

Laypeople as well as teachers of movement will benefit from the class.

  • Experience the connection between organs, strength, and flexibility.
  • Learn how the organs move in respiration.
  • Become more organic!

Sunday June 6th
